Volunteers Take on a Landscaping Project at Van Buren Middle School
The courtyard at Van Buren Middle School sports a fresh look after volunteers converged on the grounds for a beautification project. About 35 employees from the five local Larry H. Miller auto dealerships participated in the landscaping project, planting trees and bushes, spreading gravel and setting up planter boxes. Michelle Aragon, the company's local customer retention marketing manager, said the Day of Service is an annual event. It is always scheduled for April 26, which is the anniversary of the late Miller's birth. "(Miller) always said, 'Go about doing good until there is too much good in the world'," Aragon said. "The Larry H. Miller Group wants to support the communities it does business in," Aragon added. "There's just something about putting back into the community, like to help support school systems and other organizations that educate children."

Joy Junction Annual Fund SupporterÂ
Dear friend of the homeless, Your recent donation to Joy Junction is such a blessing! Thank you for sharing in our mission to help families get back on their feet. We appreciate your faithful support. Joy Junction has recently seen so many more families in need of our help. They have found themselves at the shelter with no place else to go. Many have children who are under 5 years of age; others have school-aged children. For all these families, Joy Junction provides shelter, food, clothing and other services. Most importantly, we keep these families together! We also serve the homeless and hungry who do not reside at Joy Junction. Every day, the Lifeline of Hope mobile food wagon visits areas where families need an extra helping hand. The food wagon delivers food, water, soft drinks and an encouraging word. Many who come to Joy Junction need more than a meal so we encourage our guests to join the Christ in Power Program, a 9-month recovery class. Through Bible study, class discussion, pastoral counseling, life skills training and chore assignments, participants find the strength to overcome struggles with addictions and other harmful behaviors. Every gift to Joy Junction helps support our ministry. Without donors like you, we could not do our work! (we do not receive government funding) Once again, many thanks, Jeremy Reynalds, Ph.D Founder/CEO
