As the auto industry continues the goal of becoming dominated by electric-powered cars and trucks, it's getting easier to find highly efficient cars that don't sacrifice style and performance. The new five-passenger Hyundai Elantra Hybrid combines style, performance, and efficiency to create the ideal sedan for daily commutes, errands, or road trips.
Performance and Fuel Economy
The new Elantra Hybrid comes in two trims: Blue and Limited. The Blue trim has a hybrid powertrain with a 1.6-liter engine creating 139 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque for a combined 54 miles per gallon. The Limited trim gets a turbocharged 201-horsepower engine and gets 50 miles per gallon combined. Even with the 11-gallon fuel tank, these powertrains get you between 550 to nearly 600 miles of driving on one tank of gas!
