More exciting Hyundai news coming out of the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show recently. On Wednesday, the automaker issued a press release announcing its future vision for "health-conscious vehicles that connects mobility and wellness by creating in-car conditions that increase focus or relaxation." The Health + Mobility Cockpit concept involves the monitoring of health and wellness indicators to help drivers manage stress and other negative side effects of driving.
“For many the daily commute leads to stress, frustration, and the feeling of wasted time," said John Suh, Head of Hyundai Ventures. "In addition to automating the driving task, technology can also be used to shift a driver’s state of mind by creating conditions that cultivate a safer and healthier mental state, boosting their focus or helping them relax while traveling so that drivers might be less fatigued when arriving at their destination.”
Hyundai's booth at CES includes an immersive virtual reality experience that demonstrates how mood can be altered through a combination of sensory outputs. More information is available via the link in the tweet, below.
