In a press release issued yesterday by Hyundai Motor America, the automaker proudly announced that both the Hyundai Ioniq and Vision G Concept were recognized with GOOD DESIGN awards from the Hosted by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. Celebrating its 66th year, the GOOD DESIGN awards recognize cutting-edge industrial designs that epitomize the highest degrees if form, function, and aesthetics.
The Ioniq, which one for the second consecutive year, boasts the distinction of being the first eco vehicle in the world to offer three distinct electrified powertrains on a single, dedicated vehicle platform–Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and Electric. In addition to its global sustainability focus, the Ioniq also offers a truly enjoyable driving experience along with the safety and convenience technologies.
The Vision G Coupe Concept represents the automaker's vision for a family of premium automotive products that deliver luxury, performance, and style while maintaining a high degree of value and responsibility.
