As of late, Hyundai Motor Company has been at the forefront of sustainable mobility -- and the South Korean automaker plans to keep it that way. In fact, Hyundai Motor Company, which includes Hyundai and Kia, will launch 26 green vehicles through 2020.
With that said, our next announcement should come to no surprise. Hyundai recently introduced three versions of the Ioniq at a series of auto shows this year, including a hybrid, electric and plug-in hybrid. The all-electric variant will be the first to arrive, with a fall 2016 release; the hybrid will debut this winter and the plug-in hybrid won't arrive until summer 2017.
According to a recent press release: "The Ioniq eco-focused vehicle is the first in the world to offer three distinct electrified powertrains on a single, dedicated vehicle platform. Hyundai’s approach for the Ioniq line delivers an uncompromising design and driving experience coupled with the latest in safety and convenience technologies, making it an appealing choice for a wide range of buyers. The Hyundai Ioniq is an important milestone in Hyundai’s global sustainability strategy."
