Albuquerque Children's Christian Home provides a permanent home to youth who are in crisis. School-age children who are victims of neglect and abuse receive treatment at the facility, which is funded through private contributions from foundations, individuals and businesses. Unlike government-funded programs such as foster care, Albuquerque Children's Christian Home allows residents to stay as long as supervision and treatment are needed. Larry H. Miller Charities made a sizeable donation to this life-changing nonprofit group. Eastern Hills Christian Academy began as a preschool and kindergarten program in 1973 and grew over the years to include elementary and middle school classes. Thanks to a donation from LHM Charities, elementary-age students can now watch laboratory investigations via interactive DVDs. Residents from Albuquerque Christian Children?s Home. |
